NYC trip

Here are some of pictures from my recent trip to NYC.

A picture of me!

A tiltshiftesque view from the 82 Floor of the Empire State Building.

On my way to the Apple Store on 59th and 5th to buy a new iPad mini.

A view from Dumbo in Brooklyn after walking across the bridge from Manhattan.

A shot of the Manhattan bridge looking across to the Empire State Building – taken from Dumbo in Brooklyn.  I was trying to recreate the cover poster of “One upon a Time in America” – but it was harder than anticipated given the scaffolding and the cars on the street.

A few cool shots taken on Manhattan shooting directly down from the 82nd floor of the Empire State Building.

A classic black and white shot of the Park.

Ladder 20 cruising around SoHo.  Tried a movie feel to this shot.

Sunset looking over lower Manhattan (you can see the new skyscraper being built on the WTC site).

My girlfriend spotted this Pizza restaurant while we were walking around in SoHo.  She suggested I take the shot because of its Hopperesque look.

Classic shot taken from the Empire State Building, showing the MetLife and Chrysler buildings.

Spring street Metro station – shot in movie style.

Canary Wharf

The following are a few images I took around Canary Wharf – starting off at the Jubilee line station…….one of the images reminds me of the Tanker that used to swallow up submarines in the James Bond film – The Spy Who Loved Me.  I’ll let you figure out which one it is….I believe that Lord Foster based the his station on this……
